Smt. Preetha Arun
Smt. Preetha Arun was initiated into the Kalakshetra style of Bharatanatyam under the tutelage of Padmashri Kalaimamani Adyar K. Lakshman. After her Arangetram (dance debut) in 1986, she received advanced training under the tutelage of Sangeetha Kala Acharya Kalaimamani Smt. Radha - a torch-bearer of the Vazhuvoor style- a rich dance tradition.

Preetha Arun has been teaching classical Bharatanatyam for the past 25+ years in the USA & Bangalore, India. Samarpana Dance Academy located in Whitefield, Bangalore provides Bharatanatyam classes for students from the ages of 5 and above.
CAREER
Preetha’s dance career spans over three decades with performances in India and abroad. Preetha has performed in prestigious organizations such as The Music Academy, Kartik Fine Arts, Kapali Fine Arts, Mylapore Fine Arts Club, Narada Gana Sabha and R.R.Sabha in Chennai. Other noteworthy performances by Preetha Arun in other places include for TCS in Chowdiah Memorial, Bangalore, Tamil Isai Sangam in Pollachi, Kambar Vizha in Gobichettipalayam, Mata Amritanandamayi Fundraiser in Boston, Indian Independence Day Celebrations in Boston, 75th Birthday Celebrations of Sathya Sai Baba in Puttaparthi and many more...
